Gladius-class fighter (fan design)

Another new starship from my Winx Club based 'The Magix' concept, which is a Gladius-class fighter utilized by the kingdom of Eraklyon.

Fighter is a small spacecraft, typically one seater, and its main purpose is direct air and space combat. Gladius-class is of old design, built sometime before Dark dimension conflict went into hot stage, but very durable, which is the factor why this starfighter still serves Eraklyon military nowadays together with newer Talon-class fighter.

This starfighter's design is quite blocky, with its sharp edges slightly smoothed. Atypically for fighter ship, the cockpit has limited pilot's field of view - production of this craft was met by shortage of armored glass used on almost every other military grade starship, so it was decided to keep a little number of glass, but the lack of sufficient FOV is compensated by AR displays that pilots wear. Gladius-class has four engines in total - two, main ones, mounted behind the wings - once again not for atmospheric flight, but to act as extension to sensors - and the other two, lifting ones, are at the bottom. There are two sets of weapons. Two twin blaster cannons at the front and missile pod with four launch tubes.

There's no special source of inspiration for such starfighter. I just used one of my old starship drawings.
