Another new starship from my 'The Magix' concept work based on Winx Club animated series. A successor to already posted Shinano-class transport ship, a Tarim-class.
One of the most common starship types used by officials, companies, military and civillians, transport ship is suitable to carry passengers and cargo. It is also able to participate in direct combat with correct modifications. Tarim-class was introduced by shipyards of Melody around late 2010s, amidst the events of cartoon's seasons 5 and 6, and was almost immediately spread across Magical dimension along with becoming a primary transport ship class in Melodian navy. Being based on older starship designs and due to specific engineering solutions, it was necessiated to move engines to rotable nacelles to make access to reactor systems much easier. Attempts were made to permamently 'fuse' engine blocks with the hull, but it made maintenance a bit more difficult. One of Tarim-class transport ships is used by prefect Hao'Rin, paladin working in Melodian magic corps, along with his niece, blind samurai fairy Rickie.
Tarim-class' design is smooth and, to some extent, organic - trait shared by most of Melodian small craft. Its cockpit supports four crewmembers and features a large windscreen. Similarly to Dawn-3 class freighter, frontal consoles are placed on thin pedestal for pilots to take use of extended field of view (along with more common hull cameras to see what's happening around the ship). The rest of interior space can be reconstructed for specific purposes, which depend on ship owner's preferences. This ship has two rotable engine nacelles each with two nozzles, which flip 90 degrees upwards so the nozzles could be facing ground when landed, and is armed with two plasma turrets (in case of ship shown here, as it is a civillian variant). Intakes in front of engine nacelles are particle collectors.
I used already existing Shinano class as a template, while also using Imperial dropship from Rebel moon films as a source of inspiration.
