I'm continuing to wrap up doing uniquely designed starship from Winx Club animated series. This ship comes from season 3. Now it is refurbished for my concept work based on the Winx Club animated series dedicated to fix mistakes and expand lore of the series, bearing the designation of Nyx-class transport ship.
One of the most common starship types used by officials, companies, military and civillians, transport ship is suitable to carry passengers and cargo. It is also able to participate in direct combat with correct modifications. The Nyx-class was produced in the kingdom of Andros since the end of Dark dimesion conflict (around 1990, 2 years after attack on Domino). Proved to be versatile and durable, but a bit difficult to maintain. As such, its usage was limited to officials, companies and wealthy civillians. One such ship was owned by Nabu's parents, he used it to travel with Helia and Winx fairies to former Omega portal island on Andros and engage Valtor in a final confrontation of season 3 (events of episode 26 of season 3, the only appearance of this ship in Winx Club series - this ship is shown in render). In my concept work one Nyx-class transport ship, a pirate-modified one as a raider, will be used by a pair of Yoshinoya's syndicate capos, dark wizard Akernar and outlaw fairy Diaspro - two of the concept's minor antagonists (their ship is shown at the bottom of this gallery).
The hull design is mostly sleek, patterned after a manta ray. Ship's cockpit features four seats - for commander, co-pilot and two extra ops stations. Its main hall could be converted either for passengers or cargo, but lacks living zones, thus limiting the ship to short-term travels (but one could build a spartan living zone). Nyx-class ship shown in render is of civillian model, and its weaponry is limited only to four plasma turrets (if you see tripled glowing ports on "wings" - these are not missile launchers, they're particle collectors and vents). The ship's entrance is on the right side and features an extendable ramp with rotating steps. Like most of Andros ships, the Nyx-class is better suited to operate underwater than any other starship. The ship retains its two engines, tail and large "wings" like the original, but the cockpit is created from scratch as the ship was shown only from the aft.
Yeah, I know, the ship doesn't look as the same as in the series. Frankly said, I've never had intention of creating the exact copy of the ship - at least something similar.
