Gistola-class cruiser (fan-design)

Another ship from my concept work based on Winx Club animated series dedicated to fix mistakes and expand lore of the series. This is Gistola-class cruiser, one of the main starship classes of Zenithian navy.

The main roles of such ships are that of battlefield command center and strike force, specifically built for combat. Like the majority of capital ships in the concept, the Gistola-class is a brand new one, built and deployed to counter various threats that will be prominent in the concept, mainly Darkar's forces, Dolonian rebels, Yoshinoya's sindicate and others. This class is based directly on old zenithian destroyer designs that from the last interstellar war that raged 5 centuries ago - albeit with minor alterations. The ship shown in render is the Sennan - one of the first Gistola-class cruisers ever built, commanded by Miramond, the headmaster of Science institute of Zenith with Sennan serving as its mobile headquarters.

Being old design, it is more rough than Angara-class battlecruiser built in the same kingdom. The hull is vertically oriented with frontal section a bit bulkier than aft. Its primary weapons are 16 laser emitters, the secondary - 26 particle beam arrays. One of the laser emitters - the one below the reverse thrusters - functions as a lance weapon, much powerful than the rest of beam weapons. There are 8 shield generators, each contains 7 hexagon-shaped dishes. The ship has 4 main engines. 2 hangar bays are located in the frontal section, their total capacity equals the single hangar of Angara-class.

As a source of inspiration I took Revenants' cruiser from Star Conflict.
