Ganymede-class assault cruiser (fan design)

Another ship from my concept work based on Winx Club animated series dedicated to fix mistakes and expand lore of the series. Now, it is Ganymede-class assault cruiser, one of the most powerful starships in Kingdom of Domino navy.

Its main role is direct combat, leading assault runs even being outmatched by enemy forces, playing a kind of "cut and run". Hence the classification as assault cruiser. According to lore of the concept, this is brand new starship, along with majority of other big vessels. They'll be built and deployed to counter various threats that will be prominent in the concept, mainly Darkar's forces, Dolonian rebels, Yoshinoya's sindicate and others - all of which will appear later, after hunting down the rogue magical ship. However, this ship is based on much older designs, used during the last interstellar war. This particular ship, Metis, the flagship of Domino's navy, will be given to Thoren to command. He is Daphne's spouse, former student of Linphea's college, who now holds title of commander in Domino's military forces.

Hull design is smooth, shaped like a water drop with white and pale-orange paintjob. Main weapons are 16 plasma turrets. Secondary weapons are 30 laser beam emitters. 8 shield generators are placed at the front, 16 more at the back. Engines are mounted in 2 vertical rows, 6 engines each. Reserve engines are located in horizontal rows, 12 engines each. The ship's large tail fin is in fact sensor array. The oval section at the bottom contains reserve generators and sensors, it also hold main communications array. The ship has two hangars, each as large as hangar of Condor-class battlecruiser, one located on the dorsal hull and the other at the aft section, between engines (it is required to approach aft hangar from dorsal or ventral side or from afar to avoid being blasted by egnines' heat).

Possible source of inspiration may be Boremys from Star Conflict and a generic battleship from Transformers: War for Cybertron (sometimes seen in the background).
