Albatross-class corvette (fan design)

Like the previous ship in my portfolio, this one was originally created as a request of one of the ArtStation users for their board game (seek Ice carrier in my portfolio for more info), later rebuilt to fit in my concept work dedicated to fix mistakes and expand lore of the Winx Club animated series, "The Magix" concept work. Now this ships belongs to Red Fountain and bears designation of Albatros-class corvette.

Corvette is a variation of an escort vessel. Smaller in size and more maneuverable, suitable for escorting small vessel groups. Sometimes used as a transport ship or assault craft (dependent on modifications). The smallest type of capital ships. Albatross was comissioned into active service after the second defeat of Valtor at the end of season 8 of the original cartoon, a few years before the start of concept's main plot. Typically used by small operative teams prominent in the Red Fountain, like the crownprince Sky's team. However, Sky and his friends won't use Albatross class, as their last ship is Owl-2-class raider they used before breaking apart.

One such Albatross-class corvette - the Rannoch, which is shown in render - would be given to recurring black ops styled team led by Owens. He'll take command of Rannoch because his team's Owl-class expanded tranport ship would end up being crippled during a firefight with Yoshinoya's syndicate. Owens' teammates would take various posts around the Rannoch - Danoron (Dan) would take the helm, Heron will be chief engineer and second in command, Edmund - chief medic, Mirta and Kimberly - operations officers).

Similar to several of Red Fountain starship classes, primarily capital ones, the Albatross-class has arrow-shaped hull, with only frontal section being rough and 'blocky' with built-in long range sensor array used for tracking operations. Its wings contain particle collectors and two circular engines built in similar manner to Hawk-class assault ship. Albatross-class' weaponry include 5 plasma turrets. Some ships have particle beam turrets installed in their stead. The hangar section is at the aft, between the engines - two hangars, each capable of holding up to 3 Crow-class recon fighters. The ship's bridge is more simple than Owl's, Osprey's cockpits, supporting only commander, co-pilot and 2 extra stations.

The original model was based on AI picture. To make an Albatross-class corvette, I combined its elements with Hawk-class assault ship.

For anyone who wants to know who are members of Owens' team, let me get their short description, as I did for Alec's team earlier: Owens is team's leader hailing from Amalthea in the Kingdom of Serenia, good at wielding blasters and knowing Red Fountain's regulations; Heron is Owens' second in command and engineer from Karunda with many contacts around the Magic dimension; Danoron (Dan) is pilot and tech expert from Callisto, who owns the team's Owl as his personal vehicle; Kimberly (Kim), undercover and getaway expert from Dolona who refuses to master her fire magic due to anti-magic prejudicies in several dolonian sectors; Mirta, former witch turned fairy from the original cartoon (seen in seasons 1-3 and 5), the team's demolitions expert and Edmund (Ed), also from original cartoon (seen in season 5), skilled medic and surgeon from Eraklyon.
