Another starship straight from my concept work based on the Winx Club animated series dedicated to fix mistakes and expand lore of the series. This time - an Elara-class transport ship.
One of the most common starship types used by officials, companies, military and civillians, transport ship is suitable to carry passengers and cargo. It is also able to participate in direct combat with correct modifications. Elara-class is one of the most recent models of transport ships. It was developed and built by Oberon branch of Domino engineering corps right before the capital planet Domino was brought back to life at the end of "The Secret of the Lost Kingdom" (it was November of 2006). Fast and durable, this ship took great popularity around the Domino kingdom and beyond. This particular ship, Athelston III, belongs to Winx Club animated series protagonist, Bloom Peters. She would receive this ship from her father, King Oritel, after season 8 and after Bloom became Domino's diplomat (and long before she would take her place on Red Fountain's flagship Defiant). She and her Winx Club friends, still active as a peacekeeping force like they were in the cartoon, would have to rely on starship since overuse of Cosmix faster-than-light powers would only increase their recharge time leaving them unable to fly on FTL speeds on their own (though they would still be able to enter Cosmix fairy form and use its basic powers). This ship is a spiritual successor to Athelston II owned by Bloom's grandfather, King Esgal, during the Dark dimension conflict. Particularly, he used this ship at his quest to fight against dark forces when he stepped down as a king due to an old age, transferring his title to his son, Oritel. Esgal succeeded in his quest, but he perished along his ship at the hands of Valtor years before the attack on Domino.
Elara-class design is sleek and, in some places, organic. Cockpit features four seats - for commander, co-pilot and two extra ops stations. Its main hall has 10 seats for passengers. Spaces around them are reserved for the cargo. There's no dedicated living zone as the ship is meant for short-term trips (however, ship's main hall can be adapted as a spartan living zone). Cargo could be placed on central floor, but will have to be lifted by force field so the cargo won't obstruct the ship's entrance (central floor is actually a sliding trapdoor, its halves move to sides and main ramp lowers when the ship opens). As Athelston III is of civillian model, its weaponry is limited per Space flight protocol (starship variant of Traffic codes used on roads). This ship is armed with four plasma beam cannons, two of which are mounted on turrets. Module installed above the cockpit is a Cosmix magic conduit powered by Syderian crystalls provided by lumen queen Dorana. These crystalls greatly empower Winx fairies' spells allowing them to do greater feats than what they can do unassisted. Thus, the conduit may become tractor beam (via telekinesis spell), force field emiiter (via shield barrier spell), transwarp drive (via Cosmix FTL powers), overheated plasma beam weapon (via Dragon flame-infused strike spell), long-range scanner (via Musa's sensing ability, either sound or gravity based), massive hologram projector (via Stella's light manipulation) and etc. To activate the conduit, fairies should mentally channel their magic energy with chosen spell - the conduit doesn't require a medium connected to it. The crystals inside the conduit work better with Cosmix due to shared star power, but can be used by anyone with some effort. Winx fairies do not always use the conduit, as its overuse may degrade crystalls' structure and shatter them, making a supernova-like explosion (although in much smaller scale). To avoid this, they limit the conduit usage to 7-10 spells per day. 14 is the critical maximum. The ship features three circular engines and classic styled wheeled landing gear - a feature shared by all small ships developed by Domino. Its tail fin contains sensor and communications array. The dragon paintjob is done by Bloom to signify her status as a Dragon flame keeper. There is a symbol featuring two overlapped four-pointed stars that is painted above cockpit and tail fin - it is Domino's identification mark.
Elara-class transport ship is essentially based on a starship from Issue 90 from Winx Club comic series used by Winx fairies as they travel to Zenith, though Elara-class has some visual differences - dorsal section is bulkier, interior is larger, no pink color in main color scheme, no additional ventral detals, there are new modules (magic conduit and rear landing gear containers), glowing engine particle collectors. Interior colors derived from T-6 shuttle hull colors from Ahsoka series.
