U.S.S. Buran, TOS Cardenas class

This is USS Buran of the Cardenas class battlecruiser from Star Trek: Discovery season 1.

I decided to do this model during release of the season of Discovery after seeing how series stylistics contradicted the stylistics of TOS era (it is set 10 years before the TOS). Nevertheless, she retains many details from the DIS model - at least detailing of the hull, deflector dish and aft section.

In the Discovery, USS Buran is Starfleet ship that was commanded by Gabriel Lorca before the ship's destruction and captain Lorca's being replaced by mirror universe counterpart during the battle of Priors world (mentioned in the series, shown in Star Trek Online). Buran's sister ship - USS Yeager - fought in Battle of Binary Stars, where she has been destroyer.
